When I was in the 4th Grade, I came up with a wild life theory that all the people in the world were actually a Hive mind, and they told each other stuff telepathically, and I wasn’t a part of the Hive mind, so I couldn’t tell what others were thinking, conveying, or feeling, and when I tried, it ended up in me being hurt in the end. I always thought the reason people treated me like I was wrong or defective was because they could tell I wasn’t a part of their Hive mind.
Then I got to 7th Grade and was told that I was Autistic.
So basically you were correct
Fire season is here!
I know this is from the Washington State DNR, but like.
please can we not set ANY of the states or counties or cities or towns or municipalities or villages or census designated places on fire either? and not just today, but for the entire future?
this is the current map of drought intensity in the PNW. It's not terrible, but the forecast for this weekend leading up to the 4th is blazing. (map from here)
They are not as high-profile as the WGA, but I would like to bring everyone's attention to the imminent strike action by thousands of hotel workers in Los Angeles. They are set to go on strike tomorrow, July 1st, 2023.
More than 15,000 hotel workers are seeking higher pay, better benefits, and working conditions. This includes an across-the-board $5 an hour raise, as well as affordable healthcare and better pensions. They also are seeking a ban on the use of E-Verify, which is used to deny employment to undocumented workers and workers involved with the criminal justice system. You can follow what is happening at their Twitter.

[image description: a photo of a news article reading "Keith Grossman, an attorney with Hirschfeld Kraemer, one of two legal firms representing the hotel coalition, took issue with the union’s support for certain policy proposals, including a measure set for the 2024 ballot that would require hotels in Los Angeles to rent vacant rooms to homeless people."]
Sound designing a vampire being hit in the face with a shovel is... challenging. Who would've guessed.
[Audio transcript: Ben Galpin voicing Jonathan Harker from Dracula by Bram Stoker. He says, "There was no lethal weapon at hand, but I seized a shovel which the workmen had been using to fill the cases, and lifting it high, struck, with the edge downward, at the hateful face," followed by a cartoon "bonk" and the Wilhelm scream. End transcript]

UNINTELLIGIBLE, that I'm telling you.
It's not easy birthing a child... It's not easy.
What are you going to do with your children? What will you give them?
Where is your husband?
Someone did an animatic of one of my favourite scenes from The Way of Kings!
(It's the scene that near the end after what happened at the Tower - beware, major spoilers.)
The CQL/CritRole/StrangerThings crossover nobody needed, except my brain when I saw Taliesin wearing his "Ghost Dad" shirt on CR C3E41.
He really should be conjuring dice or something, but, um, I didn't actually have a full-image concept in mind when I started, which is also why the background is just blobs of colour. I also didn't have the stamina/time to figure the DM screen out, perspective-wise and colour-wise, etc., so it's half-hidden in the blobs of colour, which is a shame because I did go to the trouble of tracing out the lotus design from the Lotus Pier doors. Oh well. I could've worked on the whole thing more, but I when I realised Father's Day was coming up, I set myself this artifical deadline, so here we are.
WWX's almost-kinda bi pride flag hair was kinda accidental (a combination of Taliesin's purple hair and Yiling Laozu Red), but hey, it's pride month. Might as well lean into it with the colour scheme.
Eddie made it into the mix because I needed a D&D-ish reference pose, but I think if the MDZS characters got together for a round of D&D, it should be NHS DMing. JGY would be a rogue (yes he's alive and well in this scenario, and so is JYL, who's providing the snacks). LXC isn't sure how it all works, but JGY wanted him there, so he's smiling along and playing a paladin. He'll end up getting super into it, but he's so restrained that no one will see him coming. LWJ does not see the appeal at all, but will end up backseat-rules-lawyering, much to everyone's annoyance and WWX's delight. If NHS wasn't DMing, he'd be a bard, but I'm making him DM. WWX is multiclassing an artificer + blood hunter + possibly some Unearthed Arcana/ homebrew concoction. LSZ is a cleric. WN is a ranger. At some point he accidentally adopts a bunny animal companion and LWJ starts quietly fuming. WWX is delighted. LJY is a wizard and selects his spells based on hilarity, not utility. JC is a fighter. OZZ is a bard. NMJ is a barbarian. He only turns up for the fights.
ANYWAY. Um. I did a thing. Enjoy?
Cute bear takes a single biscuit no vandalization opens the door and leaves calmly.
Nothing could have prepared me for that guys evil laugh
